Beach volleyball and all water sports available. Cosey Beach is a charming, 1920's Nautical New England village, nestled on one of East Haven's award winning beaches. It's a stretch of beach that lies between two tidal inlets along the Long Island Sound in East Haven. This beach has earned a national award by the National Resources Defense Council largely due to their monitoring system and pollution control effects used on the beach. NRDC named it "A Beach Buddy" and voted it one of the five top picks for clean summer spots in the East Coast. Another reason for the cleaner water is due to the two tidal inlets on each side of the beach and the natural cleansing that occurs as these tidal inlets move the water in and out.
