Coming Soon: Pre-leasing for September move-in! As I am not going to infringe upon my current tenants' privacy so won't show the home on demand. However, my wonderful tenants agreed to two open houses on August 6 and August 7 from 2:30-5:00pm for qualified applicants. You can do a preliminary application through Zillow and share info about yourself and why you're interested in our sweet little Oak Ridge cottage. If the house is not already leased before September I may schedule another open house for anyone who has expressed interest after my wonderful tenants move out ~ September 10. I have a thorough description and pictures of the property, so read all the way through as your questions are likely answered. I am sorry if there are some firm answers about qualification requirements and *no cats* that make this house a non-starter for you. This is the house I dreamed of having when my daughter was young and I took walks everyday with my little dog when he was still with me. It is so close to Cedar Hill Park and all of the best greenway trails in Oak Ridge. It's also walking distance to the hospital, Jackson Square, and Crafter's Brew. The home was well tended before we bought it, but we added good insulation, new windows, a large off street parking pad (big enough for two big trucks), washer and dryer, and gave it a nice facelift inside for our tenants. The yard is huge and the neighbors are great. It's a perfect little cottage for someone working at the lab or the hospital, possibly a small family, or someone who has recently separated and needs a place to heal and feel comfortable. I wished I had this place when I moved to Oak Ridge. My first tenants (who both work at the lab and became friends of mine) got married and bought their first home I am so proud of them! My brilliant current tenant was sought after by multiple universities who woo'd him away to a new opportunity across the country. Well qualified applicants must demonstrate a positive rental history, references, and verified job/income 3x rent (~$3100/month). It is a small house that can accommodate no more than 2 adults and 1 child. All adults living in the house must complete an application and pass a background screening.
